From December 9th to 13th, 2013, the BCP Brazil team delivered the K Series Wheel Loader launch event at the Caterpillar plant in Campo Largo – PR.
The event gathered key customers of several different segments, such as sand, construction and agriculture from the entire country – North, Northeast, Mid-West, Southeast and South. Three models were launched: 924K, 930K and 938K. There was a reception dinner and on the following day a K Series presentation, walk around of the machine and plant tour – one group per day. The press was also invited and participated in the first day of activities. There were roughly 80 people, among customers, press and dealers (Sotreq and PESA) during the 4 days.
The new Cat® K Series Wheel Loaders have been redesigned to set a new standard for productivity, fuel efficiency, and lower ownership and operating costs. Improved features include hydrostatic transmission, optimized Z-bar linkage, low sound levels and superior cab comfort.
The Caterpillar Brasil president, Mr. Luiz Calil, attended the event. Also, the Campo Largo plant manager, José Bruler, attended the event. The BCP Industry Manager John Roush and Product Group Engineer Brad Kehoe were also present at the event. Caterpillar’s Campo Largo plant is responsible for producing Small Wheel Loaders for Latin America.
