Caterpillar launches Cat® 914K Ag Handler Compact Wheel Loader

The compact wheel loader, produced in Brazil, offers a wide range of tools and services to increase productivity in the field.

Caterpillar presents, at the 26th Agrishow, the Cat 914K Ag Handler Compact Wheel Loader. This new agricultural machine, manufactured in Brazil, was specially developed to meet the needs of Brazilian rural producers for productivity, versatility, efficiency and low operations cost.

Z-bar, quick coupling and mechanical engine

The optimized Z-bar lift arm system combines breakout force, loading efficiency of a traditional Z-bar with parallel lifting characteristic, and a quick-coupling feature. Together, they provide excellent performance and versatility. The parallel lifting and the high tilting cylinder handle loads safely and reliably with precise control.

Equipped with the Cat C4.4 mechanical engine, 98 hp (73 kW), the loader combines productivity with simplicity and ease of maintenance. The engine operates with a smooth, electronically controlled hydrostatic transmission at low rpm. It provides adjustable power on the ground and excellent shift speed control for fast loading cycles and the flexibility to perform various tasks efficiently.

The hydromechanical quick coupler, available from the factory, makes the 914K a perfect fit for agriculture and livestock producers. This feature enables excellent versatility and productivity with attachments, including various Cat Work Tools like a complete series of performance buckets, pallet forks, cotton bale spears and big bag handler among others.

Additional features

The cab provides comfort to the operator with an ergonomic seat and easy-to-use joystick controls. The state-of-the-art electro-hydraulic system provides low effort and precise control with faster cycle times.

The multi-function joystick incorporates the forward/reverse control and differential lock. On the side console, the quick release coupling/decoupling switch allows replacement of work tools in less than one minute, at a touch of a button.

Extended maintenance intervals and excellent access for maintenance make daily checks quick and easy, allowing work to start faster.

With its high overturning loads, high breakout forces and Cat C4.4 mechanical engine power, the K Series is a balanced solution for all customer applications. Economy Mode and an on-demand cooling fan make the 914K a powerful, fuel efficient loader.

Custom performance

The versatility and comfort for the operator are further enhanced with the new option of a loading features package. This package includes a new electronic keypad for the operator to customize each operation with one touch on the keyboard.

The loading resource package also includes rimpull control, hydrostatic system responsiveness adjustment, implement speed and sensitiveness adjustment, and kickout settings.

Fleet security and management

For enhanced protection, the anti-theft system consists of an electronic keypad that electronically blocks up engine ignition. The Cat Connect system intelligently uses technology and services to improve the efficiency at the jobsite.

LINK technologies, such as the optional Product Link system, help owners to manage equipment productivity and reduce owning and operating costs through the VisionLink® online interface. These technologies track critical items such as machine location and hours worked.
