Klein Products – Water Tanks Shaped for Success

Located in Jacksonville, Texas and Ontario, Calif., Klein Products Inc. manufactures large capacity, mobile tank equipment and works closely with Caterpillar OEM Solutions to match their water tanks with Cat® bare chassis trucks.

Founded in 1957, Klein markets their rugged, reliable water trucks to construction and mining customers worldwide.

Klein’s patented trapezoidal tank design is inherently safer. Its ingenious trapezoidal shape with wide bottom and narrow top enables excellent operator visibility all around the machine.

Its lower center of gravity combines with the tank’s internal baffles to eliminate load surges (when less than full) and reduce the chance of tipping while providing greater vehicle stability and control when negotiating uphill / downhill grades and turns.

Klein Products manufactures large capacity, mobile tank equipment and works closely with Caterpillar OEM Solutions to match their water tanks with Cat® bare chassis.

Importantly, to ensure Klein tanks perform well and withstand the rigors of heavy-duty construction sites and harsh mining environments, Klein also designs and builds all its own high quality pumps, valves and related discharge equipment along with their corrosive-proof aluminum spray heads. One of the options Klein offers is a joystick-controlled water cannon for watering down stockpiles, cleaning out dump bodies, reducing dust in loading areas and even for firefighting.

Klein tank designs match up with all Cat Off-Highway Trucks as well as Cat Articulated Trucks and offer capacities from 5,000 to 40,000 gal. Sales, service and product support for Klein tanks are delivered worldwide through the reliable Cat dealer network that delivers parts either same day or next day anywhere in the world.

“Using the Cat dealer network is the best way for us to service our customers,” says Barry McManus, president of Klein Products, Inc.

“We’ve always had a great relationship with Caterpillar and Cat dealers,” McManus says. “The seamless support we receive from the OEM Solutions group is just sensational. And that support is just a phone call away.”

Klein prides itself on the fact that all its water discharge packages are tailored to the specific needs and applications of its customers.

“Our design team always begins with four goals for every one of our new products,” McManus says. ”It must be safe, functional, meet the quality standards of our customer and be easy to maintain and service. We have a driving passion to be the best in the world at making water and fuel distribution tanks, pumps and valves.”
