When Earnest Bertrand purchased a Cat® Generator set in 1947 to power his new grain elevator, he was meticulous about maintenance. Working with his Cat dealer to ensure proper maintenance using genuine Cat parts, the results paid off. The same generator set—relied upon by three generations of the Bertrand family for more than 60 years—now powers the family's cattle ranch on the Kansas prairie. It is the oldest working Cat generator set on record in North America.
