To keep the slopes open, the showers warm and the night life bustling, Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah needs a reliable power source. In addition, the resort operates at higher elevation than most other similar facilities. As a result, they face unique power issues. Their solution? A co-generation utility plant powered by three Cat® G399 gas engines. It's significant that this power solution is also the cornerstone of the resort's sustainability program aimed at reducing their carbon footprint by using less electricity.
