During bauma Munich 2013, Caterpillar presented a model of the 336E H to the very first 336E H Hybrid Excavator customer.
Sten Antonsen, Owner of SA-Anlegg in Norway, was honored during the show by Doug Oberhelman, Chairman & CEO of Caterpillar, Rob Charter, Vice President of Caterpillar’s Excavation Division, Ken Gray, Global Product Manager for Large Hydraulic Excavators, Inge Stensland, Managing Director at Pon Equipment, Cat® dealer for Norway, and Per Gunnar Hanssen, Sales Representative at Pon Equipment.
Antonsen ordered the new machine just two days after the first press release was issued announcing the model. Pricing was not yet available, but Antonsen knew this machine was the right choice for him. He ordered a second unit in January 2013, and will receive his first unit shortly.
When Antonsen placed his first order, he said to Per Grunnar Hanser, sales representative at Pon Equipment: “I shall have such machine. Low fuel consumption is important and my company strives to be environmentally aware. Let’s make a deal.”
Antonsen’s company owns a fleet of 21 machines, including 14 Cat models.
