PEMS is a new way of managing pumping operations, as it can minimize downtime, preserve fluid end and power end components, and help avoid catastrophic failures. PEMS analyzes incredible amounts of data in real time, including data captured by vibration, oil pressure, oil temperature, suction pressure and discharge pressure sensors. It detects possible fail states before they happen, preserving high wear components like fluid ends. PEMS is already proven technology, with 15 PEMS kits in operation for more than 50,000 field hours. It is operating in three different shale plays and installed on Cat triplex and quintiplex pumps. It is built to J1939 parameters and can be easily integrated into a site level controller.

DTOC was designed to provide much needed automation during pumping and cementing tasks that have historically required greater input from the operator. DTOC can be installed on a variety of OEM control systems and is intuitively easy to manage for any experienced well service operator.

Cat Connect is a comprehensive set of site monitoring tools that give an operator oversight over technology-equipped assets. Cat Connect emphasizes equipment management, productivity, safety and sustainability. Using Cat Connect, an operator can monitor equipment location, fuel burn, health and maintenance.

As a result of the company’s recent acquisition of Kemper Valve & Fittings Corp., Caterpillar is able to offer a comprehensive line of high and low pressure flow iron.

Additionally, the Oil & Gas Global Network will launch the “Oil & Gas Industry Leaders” podcast at the Caterpillar booth on Monday, May 1st from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The podcast will feature a discussion of trending industry topics as well as Caterpillar experts and audience interaction is encouraged.
