Houston, TX – Caterpillar Global Petroleum is pleased to announce the launch of the new Cat® G3306B TA Gas Oilfield Generator Set for land production applications. The model comes in two ratings: 110 ekW (138 kVA) @ 50 Hz (1500 rpm) and 135 ekW @ 60 Hz (1800 rpm).The new generator set is available to order for global customers. Cat experts will be on hand to discuss the new G3306B as well as the complete line of small gas generator sets offered at the upcoming MIOGE show in Moscow, Russia, June 25th – 28th.
“The G3306B is a fully customized factory solution providing our customers with fuel savings without sacrificing performance power” said Rob Stocker, Caterpillar Global Petroleum technical specialist in gas product development. “Customers will be able to use well site natural gas to power such applications as pump jacks and submersible pumps in a wide-range of onshore production applications.”
Manufactured in Griffin, GA, the G3306BTA generator sets features highly flexible fuel acceptance and excellent load step capability, near diesel load acceptance. The generator set also offers high ambient capability, ranging from 46°C (115°F) at 305 m (1000 ft) and 44°C (111°F) at 1524 m (5000 ft). Also featured on the engine is the ADEM™ A4 integrated engine monitoring, control and protection system as well as the EMCP 4.3 control panel. The EMCP 4.3 control panel provides both text format engine data and trouble-shooting guidelines in sixteen languages, including Arabic, Russian, Chinese and most EU languages. The EMCP 4.4 control panel is optional on the G3306B TA.
The durable package components of the G3306BTA are designed for high mobility in the oilfield. The basic working package is created at the factory and Cat dealers are available to customize the generator set to meet regional site application needs. Examples of customizations to the base package enclosures, trailers, filtration and cold weather provisions. The generator set can be paralleled with up to eight other generator sets.
The new Cat G3306B TA Gas Oilfield Generator Set will be distributed, sold and supported through the worldwide Cat dealer network with trained technicians to ensure service support is never out of reach.
