Caterpillar has revamped GovBidSpec.com, creating a next-generation web destination for public procurement professionals. This updated site gives governmental buyers faster, easier access to the information they need to make well-informed equipment investment decisions.
Knowing that governmental agencies face unprecedented time and resource constraints, Caterpillar revamped GovBidSpec.com to enhance content and streamline navigation efficiency. An all-new structure includes a simpler navigation menu and feature boxes that take users directly to vital information about Cat® products, bid specifications, procurement tools, dealer support and more. This resource-rich site also includes educational materials, Life Cycle Costing content and valuable information about how to save time, control costs and reduce risk with cooperative purchasing contracts. Visitors to the site will be able to sign up to receive news relevant to their industries.
To keep GovBidSpec.com fresh and informative, the site will be updated regularly with new resources such as white papers, articles and case studies. A digital RFP builder that makes it easy for governmental buyers to request total cost information from bidders is scheduled to be added to the site later in 2013.
