Introducing Cat® Compact Battery Energy Storage Systems
Have peace of mind knowing your operation's temporary power needs and emergency response requirements are covered. The dependable and worksite-ready Cat® Compact Energy Storage System (ESS) augments conventional mobile power generation and is compatible with renewable energy sources, adding extra capacity when and where you need it most.
Supplement traditional mobile power solutions with the Cat Compact ESS, a new mobile battery energy storage system reducing noise and generator set runtime. After storing surplus power from any combination of diesel, natural gas, or renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind, it dispatches energy as needed.
Cat Compact ESS modules’ efficiency gains reduce fuel costs, associated maintenance requirements, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared to continuous generator set usage. Designed for rapid plug-and-play installation and for applications requiring long periods of low loads, the new solutions are equipped to provide power for a wide range of operations.
SERVING A RANGE OF NEEDS
The new system can provide temporary and emergency power for equipment charging stations, offices, auxiliary buildings, and security systems at construction, mining, oilfield, and pipeline worksites; remote agriculture operations, such as irrigation; outdoor concerts, golf tournaments, and other special events. The Cat Compact ESS can be fully recharged in only four hours thanks to its advanced lithium-ion batteries.
Cat XES60 and XES120
The Cat XES60 provides up to 56.8 kWh of capacity, while the Cat XES120 delivers up to 127.9 kWh of capacity.
