The Cat® OEM 740 GC Bare Chassis is available in a standard wheel base. With up to a 44.6 tonnes (49.2 tons) capacity, the 740 GC bare chassis offers proven reliability, durability, high productivity, superior operator comfort and lower operating costs.
Cat chassis are the right choice for specialty truck bodies (coal, trash), water trucks, fuel and lube, service vehicles, container carriers, hook lifts and other machine derivatives. These specialty machines have proven themselves in construction, industrial, waste, material handling, quarry, and mining projects worldwide.
A uniquely combined hoist and transmission lever allows for easy operation which suits a wide range of operator experience.

Safety features help increase operator confidence by providing a safer operation. The Operator-presence detection system applies parking brake if gear is engaged and operator is not seated.
