Celebrating the Production of 1,000 Cat® 24 Motor Graders
On September 22, 2022, Caterpillar executives and production workers gathered at our facility in Decatur, IL to celebrate the production and sale of the 1,000th 24 Motor Grader. First introduced in 1995, the 24 is our largest motor grader and was designed to build and maintain haul roads for the largest mining vehicles in the world.
The 1,000th machine has been sold to Rio Tinto for use at an iron ore mine in Australia, and representatives from Cat dealer WesTrac and Rio Tinto sent recorded congratulations and remarks to the team to be played during the event.
