Every Cat® mining dozer undercarriage is built to meet the rigorous demands of mine sites. The components are integrated with the machine and work together seamlessly. Designed based on years of field experience, a Cat general duty undercarriage is recommended for low-to-moderate impact applications. The customer conducted a trial on two of their D9 dozers, while the dealer monitored undercarriage performance. After collecting 6,000 hours of data, they saw that the Cat general duty undercarriage cost 10% lower per hour than the competitor undercarriage. That meant savings of more than $10,000 each year. The decision was simple for this diamond mine. They switched to Caterpillar.
The patented sleeve bearing track is standard on all D11 dozers and has more than 10 years of proven field performance. The sleeve bearing track eliminates galling, increasing track performance so your machines can keep working. It is designed to run at higher speeds while handling greater loads.
Bushings have a special coating to improve seal life, and the sleeve bearings are made of hardened steel. The track’s overall durability reduces maintenance costs and unscheduled downtime.
Available for D9-D11 dozers, the positive pin retention (PPR) track features specially machined links and pins that allow for the use of a metal retaining ring.
This ring fits in the groove between the pin and link, locking the joint to a predetermined specification. It prevents the outward movement (also known as end-play generation) of the links on the pin. The result is more uptime and increased productivity for your business.
