The 25th NALP Renewal & Remembrance event was made even more special by the fact that this was the first time in over a year that NALP staff and members have been together.
CAITLIN MADDOCK-BAHR | Social Media & Digital Strategy Manager
It’s been over 18 months since members and staff of the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) have been together, and July marked the 25th anniversary of their Renewal & Remembrance event in Washington, D.C.
Each year, hundreds of NALP members volunteer their time, resources and talents at Arlington National Cemetery, working on important maintenance and improvement projects on the grounds. This event continues to be in high demand among NALP members, as it presents a meaningful opportunity to give back and work on projects that make a big difference within the 639 acres of land dedicated as a tribute to those who honorably served America throughout this country’s history.
Projects completed at Arlington National Cemetery this July included lightning protection for nine historic oak trees, turf improvements, landscape lighting installations, hardscape repairs, and irrigation repairs and upgrades. The team also worked with the National Park Service to identify projects at The National Mall, such as preservation of the cherry trees near the Washington Monument.
Caterpillar is a proud sponsor of NALP, and we look forward to sponsoring and participating in the Renewal & Remembrance event each year. Our team appreciates the opportunity to work alongside NALP staff and members on such historic preservation projects that honor our nation’s veterans.
NALP members are eligible for discounts on Cat® equipment and attachments. Find more information about Caterpillar’s support for the landscaping industry here.
