Bitten by sharks

Ocearch

Have you ever set out to achieve something you knew was so important you were willing to risk everything for it? The dedicated “shark people” who work onboard the research vessel OCEARCH have. They have offered everything to do the work to save not only sharks, but also the future of our oceans.

It is a huge task they have before them and it is all about sustainability. We live for the first time where generations are growing up and as they look down the course of their and their children’s lives, they are seeing the end of resources. Sharks are the balance-keepers and the top of the food chain. If they are removed from the system, the rest of the system collapses. Bringing together scientist and world-class mariners and people around the world, OCEARCH has invented the global shark tracker, a new approach to research with huge implications for others who want to follow in their footsteps.

This is what passion looks like, and this is how we build a better world.
