Heroes don’t always wear capes
“I don’t do any technical training or handling of machines or engines. I support people in developing their interpersonal skills, such as leadership and communication. Everything apart from technical or vocational training, but just as important,” Jasmin tells us.
Simply put: Jasmin helps you to become the very best version of yourself by bringing out your unique strengths and helping you put those to work. After a few different roles in business analysis and administration at Caterpillar, she now helps individuals grow and gives supervisors and managers the tools they need to become better leaders. Because great leadership is not just about how good a leader you are, but about how many leaders you develop.

Everyone can turn to Jasmin for help, from employees and junior supervisors to Nigel Parkinson and his leadership team. To Jasmin, the most rewarding part of her job is seeing someone grow and develop – as a leader and as a person. “When you think about it, leadership is everywhere. Every single employee counts. So no matter what level of the organization you’re in, you really can make a difference. That’s what I want to communicate,” Jasmin says.
LEAVING WORK OUTSIDE
When Jasmin isn’t busy coaching the people at Caterpillar Marine, she loves spending time with her husband and their two dogs, Lotte and Paula, preferably out in nature. Whether she’s by a lake or in the forest, she enjoys the calm in contrast to the busy office environment. And it gives her an opportunity to pursue another one of her great passions: photography. “It may not be exciting, but I love it!” Jasmin adds.
