South Georgia Site Prep Chooses Cat® Undercarriage

Ricky Proudfoot and his employees work hard. And so do his six Cat® Dozers. His customers depend on him to get the job done and on time.  That’s why every day, Proudfoot, Vice President of South Georgia Site Prep Inc., depends on his fleet of Dozers to work.

When it’s time to replace an undercarriage, Proudfoot works with Charley Courson from Yancey Bros., his local Cat dealer, and chooses Cat General Duty Undercarriage for all of his equipment. Why? Proudfoot says it’s simply because they cost less and they last.

To illustrate, he proudly points to one of his Cat dozers and states “This one over here [the General Duty Undercarriage] has over 1,200 hours on it.”   He goes on to say that as long as he continues to get the same number of hours from the Cat General Duty Undercarriage line that he has seen, he will continue to specify it.

He also states that Caterpillar and Yancey Bros. have given him something else that’s equally important—their word. When service issues arise, he says Caterpillar always follows through on their warranty while others have not.

Proudfoot relies on Charley and his Cat dealer to help him with any issues that arise and credits him with being more dependable and responsive than competitive dealerships.  “When I call him, he’ll come. The other guy is a little slower,” he says.  And with this business, being slower is not an option. He needs to keep his machines running and his customers happy.
