Caterpillar Safety Services is supporting OSHA in its National Safety Stand-Down, June 2-6, 2014, with resources to educate personnel about preventing falls, the leading cause of death for construction workers.
OSHA provides the construction industry with excellent resources to raise awareness about fall hazards and prevention. The agency has identified three simple steps that, if followed, should prevent falls from occurring: Plan - Provide - Train.
Utilizing OSHA tools that address conditions and equipment along with Caterpillar’s cultural improvement process will address the full spectrum of risk that leads to injuries and achieve sustainable progress in the prevention of falls.
