Sangamo Construction is a 3rd generation family business proud of a reputation for quality work delivered on-time or sooner and one of the top safety records in the construction industry.
The company and their customers have high expectations for its work on roads and bridges in central and southern Illinois. Sangamo President Chip Reyhan says using Cat® Used Equipment ensures those expectations are met.
“Cat has been a very good partner. It’s about reliability and dependability. Cat holds its value extremely well, which has been a real great benefit for Sangamo Construction,” says Chip Reyhan.
Sangamo Construction Vice President Matt Reyhan also credits their Cat dealer, Altorfer, with treating used equipment like new equipment. “It’s important to know that I’m having my equipment serviced by a dealer because I need uptime more than anything. It’s well-maintained so the asset will last the duration or more than you expected.”
And the Reyhans say those high expectations also apply when it’s time to sell Cat Used Equipment. “After you’ve enjoyed a good life with the asset, upon dismissal, you have every record, every agreement and every service,” said Matt Reyhan. “And when she’s at an auction, the next purchaser knows that the piece of equipment has been well-maintained and their purchase price will reflect that.”
For Matt Reyhan, the investment in Cat Used Equipment is maybe most of all about peace of mind. “If you want to sleep at night, you need to know that you have good, well-performing and valuable assets on the books. And if you want premier assets, then I would say Cat is second to none.”
