So you’re the operator of a new Cat® D6 XE bulldozer. This machine is the world’s first high drive Electric Drive dozer and has been designed for maximum operator safety and comfort while giving you all the features and durability you expect from Caterpillar. Check out this video D6 XE walk-around.
Pay attention to pre-shift procedures for dozer maintenance, safety tips and basic operator settings. Remember: Always refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual for guidance on maintenance, safety, settings, features and more.
The Cat® D6 XE dozer is designed to reduce service and maintenance costs and significantly lower fuel consumption, while providing the safety features and comfort you desire. Use up to 23% less fuel and move up to 35% more material per gallon of fuel used with the Electric Drive, a next-generation technology with 90% fewer rotating parts than a traditional power train. A completely redesigned cab maximizes visibility and comfort, with seating adjustments for its air suspension seat and distributed heating/cooling for operating comfort. And it’s a breeze to find your gauges, rear-view camera and other operational information on the 10-inch touchscreen display monitor. Features like Cat® Grade with Slope Assist and Cat® Grade with 3D can drastically reduce operator inputs, raising productivity and accuracy on your worksite.
