HOW TO MAINTAIN YOUR CAT® DOZERS
Let’s review how to maintain your Cat® dozers. Proper, regular maintenance is crucial for optimizing performance and extending the life and usability of your machine. The following video will take you through some of the most important points of dozer maintenance.
Before getting started, remember to always refer to your Operation and Maintenance Manual for guidance on maintenance, safety, settings, features and more. Check your dozer’s fluids regularly and replace them according to your dozer’s recommended change intervals. Make sure your fluid filters and air filters are checked often and replaced as needed. Inspect the ripper carriage, shanks and teeth for cracks, wear and damage, and inspect your powertrain daily, making sure that it’s clear of debris. Check for leaks and loose segment bolts. And practice all recommended safe operating procedures.
