Load, Carry and Spread with Auto Blade Assist
Your Cat® D8T Dozer’s auto blade assist function can help you load, carry and spread more efficiently than ever before. All you have to do is preset the percentages of your blade's pitch positions. Then steer your dozer and let auto blade assist do the rest.

Using auto blade assist on your Cat® D8T Dozer monitor is an easy way to maximize the amount of material per cycle and cut down on operator fatigue. Here’s how it works.
AUTO BLADE ASSIST STEP-BY-STEP
First, access auto blade assist on the monitor through the machine settings menu. Push the auto blade assist button to the on position. The switch is found on the keypad module. [00:32]
To adjust settings, choose the cycle: load, carry or spread. [00:48]
The load cycle allows you to adjust pitch and return height percentages.
The carry cycle allows you to adjust pitch.
The spread cycle allows you to adjust pitch, lift rate and spread rate.
Auto blade assist does not function if the engine is idling or the parking brake is on. When in reverse, auto blade assist resets to the load position.
- To turn off auto blade assist, push the auto blade assist switch and turn the system to off.
