Cat® Small Wheel Loaders built in Clayton, North Carolina are designed and built to deliver the superior quality and performance customers expect. The facility, which opened in 1991, employs 300 production workers who help ensure every customer receives a reliable, durable, quality-built machine.

Vic Baluis, Clayton Facility Manager, focuses on quality by supporting his team and removing obstacles that stand in their way. “It truly comes down to doing what we say we’re going to do,” Baluis says. “We listen to our employees and take action on what they tell us they need in order to be successful.”

Marty Boyette, Clayton Operations Team Lead, encourages his team to build in quality every day. “We build with pride here in Clayton,” he says. “I ask them to build them like they would their own machine.”

Rodney Andrews, Product Auditor in Clayton, helps ensure a first-class machine gets to the customer. “That’s what we’re all here for, to send a quality machine to the customers and hopefully it lasts a long time for them.”
