Cat® on-highway truck engines are still working hard on roads and highways today. And if you’re looking for another power option for your medium-duty trucks, Cat Reman could provide you the iconic Caterpillar Yellow engine you’re looking for.

Thanks to Cat® Reman, you may be able to get a 3116, 3126, 3126B/3126E or C7 diesel engine for your on-highway truck. Cat medium-duty engines have long excelled in a variety of medium-duty applications. These include service trucks, first-responder vehicles, bucket trucks, dump trucks and a multitude of other vocational applications.
When you buy a Cat Reman engine, you get a product that performs like new. A skilled team disassembles, cleans and inspects every remanufactured component. The technicians use advanced salvage techniques and update each part with the latest engineering updates. All piston rings, rubber parts, springs, seals, gaskets and O-rings are replaced with new components.
Cat Reman is serious about its quality check process, too. The various parts are assembled using Caterpillar product engineering standards. And they use dynamometer testing and turning to make sure every product meets Caterpillar performance specifications.
And when your Cat Remain medium-duty on-highway truck engines arrive, they will be fully assembled. This means the air compressor, flywheel, main engine wiring harness, electronic control module and all engine sensors are included. And it gets better: To keep your expenses and your downtime to a minimum, Cat Reman medium-duty engines are priced at a fraction of the cost of new when you return a used engine core to your Cat dealer. They’re also backed by a same-as-new Caterpillar Limited Warranty for 36 months, 150,000 miles or 3,600 hours1. This warranty covers:
Repairs at any authorized Cat dealer (not limited to the original selling or servicing dealer)
Parts and installation labor to replace defective parts, even if the original repair was not performed by a Cat dealer (assuming workmanship did not cause the failure)
Resultant damage caused by a covered component to other Cat engine components
Replacement of engine oil, coolant and filters if contaminated during a failure of a covered component
You can save even more money by taking advantage of Cat Reman’s flexible core acceptance criteria. You’ll receive core credit as long as your engine is fully assembled and the cylinder block is not visibly cracked, broken or welded. Note, however, that even engines with visibly cracked, broken or welded cylinder blocks may be eligible for partial credit. Contact your local authorized Cat dealer for more details.
Every Cat Reman medium-duty engine is a perfect blend of all-new Cat components and remanufactured original parts.
