In my role at Miami Lakes Learning Center I manage the Dealer Performance Center (DPC), as well as registration for our team, doing analys and reporting. Since I’ve always liked numbers, I find myself to be at the perfect spot, and it feels great being a part of a team devoted to empowering others.

Before moving to the USA and starting to work for Caterpillar and MLLC I lived in Colombia where I for two years owned and ran my own business. I have also long experience working as a salesperson, and I have also worked as a bankteller.

As a training support analyst I have a great job, because I am always learning new things and finding new ways of helping my team. At Miami Lakes Learning Center it’s my job to provide support for instructors as well as students. If you’ve got a question I’d be happy to help. Also, I make sure to keep the center and the learning facilities in good condition so that everything’s ready for class each morning.

I have a bachelor diploma from Colombia, and my past work experience involves various jobs, among them a job as a machine operator.

At the Miami Lakes Learning Center we work, learn, teach and have fun as a team. Everyone contributes, and everyone respects each other. For me there is always something new to learn, something new to share, and I appreciate the multicultural environment with people from all over the country, the American continent and sometimes from other latitudes.

In a training center like this one, every day offers new challenges, which is why I benefit from long experience in many different sectors such as agriculture, banking, education, service, planning, commercialization, manufacturing, and security.”

When working for a learning center it makes sense to enjoy learning – and that’s what I do! As an office support analyst, I always find opportunities to learn something new and often in different areas of the business than when I first started. It’s empowering for sure.

Originally, I’m from Colombia, yet I have lived for more than 20 years in the USA. I have a degree in Economics from a University in Colombia, and I spent a year in London, UK studying English. In Colombia I worked in Customer Service and Banking before moving to Miami, USA.

Here at MLLC there is never a dull moment! As a project coordinator I work with a dynamic team that is always on the move, coming up with new ideas with development and empowering others. In my job I handle learning programs and projects and always strive to provide the best learning capabilities we can offer to all visitors.

While living in Peoria, I supported Caterpillar Transmission Business unit for a year. Now I work for Caterpillar Miami Lakes Learning Center supporting the Oil and Gas group as a Project Coordinator handling all content development projects, facility, and operations.

Connecting business needs to learning opportunities is a fascinating experience. You get to apply financial concepts, forecasting, capability & capacity planning, project management, and many other traits. Another part of my job that I like a lot is the interaction with the learner on a personal level. Having the opportunity to directly collaborate with our end-users is a very rewarding experience.

I was born and raised in Panama, graduated from the California Maritime Academy (CMA) and have a long experience working as a test engineer, project coordinator, project manager and program developer.
