COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is aimed at specific issues that have occurred since the G3600 gas engine has been in production. It will discuss several different systems of the G3600 gas engine and how the issues in each system should be evaluated and addressed during the packaging of the G3600 in a compression application. These systems are: • Cooling 

• Air Intake and Exhaust 

• Mounting and Alignment 

• Lubrication 

• Fuel System 

• Electrical System 

• GERP

LEARNING OUTCOMES

After completing this course, you should be able to: • Identify good design of specific areas of packaging configuration. • Apply good design to packaging configuration in accordance with the A & I guidelines for function and ease of service. • Identify poor design of specific areas of packaging configuration. Examples of poor design: - Might cause less than desirable § operation. - That are hard to service during the § maintenance activities. • Give counsel to prevent designs that cause less desirable operation and difficult service.
