COURSE DESCRIPTION

The G3600 Electronic Fundamentals ILT was designed for on-field / onsite training delivery assuming a runnable G3600 is available for conducting labs. This learning solution covers the basic concepts and principles required to diagnose and troubleshoot active codes related to the G3600 electrical & electronic system.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Given a Digital Multimeter (DMM), Cat ET, and electrical schematics, the learner will be able to: 

  • Identify input and output devices (ie. Detonation Sensors, Fuel Valve, Ignition Transformer, Hydrax Actuator & Sensors, NOx Sensor, etc) 
  • Measure inout and output devices’ signals
  • Troubleshoot ECUs Power Supplies (ie. ADEM4, ISM) 
  • Troubleshoot CAN DataLinks faults using different methods
  • Trace a faulty wiring 
  • Troubleshoot common fault codes
