COURSE DESCRIPTION

This learning solution focuses on engine tuning (calibrating) to achieve optimum performance. As a minimum, the participant should have a working knowledge of G3600 Engine Systems Operations, Electronics Troubleshooting, Gaseous Fuels Impact on Engine Performance (ie Detonation), Cat® ET, GERP, Engine Performance Data Sheets, and accessing Caterpillar Electronic Information Systems (i.e. TMI, PowerNet), if applicable.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Upon completion of this training, the participant will be able to: 

  • Use Special Instruction to perform Initial Start-Up procedure. 
  • Evaluate Site Fuel to configure engine parameters
  • Tune the engine to achieve optimum performance and emissions compliance as per Caterpillar specifications. 
  • Properly document a Service Report 

These learning outcomes ensures the learner develops the following targeted skills: - Troubleshoot engine performance issues - Validate engine performance - Create / document a service report.
