Frequently Asked Questions

The current Cat Card program serviced by Citibank N.A. will end on April 30th. You have or will soon receive communication from Citibank N.A. regarding the closure  of your existing Citi Cat Card account. You will also receive communications from Cat Financial about signing your Customer Agreement and activating your new Cat Financial Cat Card account should you wish to open a new account.

For uninterrupted access to all of the benefits a Cat Card provides, when you are contacted by Cat Financial, sign your Customer Agreement. When we receive and process your signed Customer Agreement, your account will be ready for use, and you will receive a Cat Financial Cat Card displaying your account number.

If you choose not to sign the Customer Agreement, you will have to reapply for the Cat Financial Cat Card.

The new Cat Card from Cat Financial features no annual fee, special financing, flexible payment terms and special promotional offerings. Yes, your new Cat Card account may be used at any participating Cat dealer or Cat Rental Store in the country in which the account is issued, either the U.S. or Canada. Use your account to purchase parts, engines, components, work tools, generator sets, Customer Value Agreements, Equipment Protection Plans, new Cat Utility Vehicles (for commercial use only), agriculture implements, lift trucks, air compressors and other equipment sold by your local Cat dealer. Contact your local Cat dealer for a variety of new machine finance offers from Cat Financial.

Yes, with the exception of Consumer Cat Card accounts, which will not be available under the new Cat Financial Cat Card program, you may transfer a balance from your current Citi Cat Card to your new Cat Financial Cat Card. Additional information about the balance transfer process will be provided in May.

Cat Financial will work with you to set the right limit for your business.

The new Cat Financial Cat Card account will continue to be accessible through MyCatFinancial.com. Once you have signed the Customer Agreement and your new Cat Card account is active, simply add it to your account at MyCatFinancial.com, then view, manage and pay your account online through the MyCatFinancial mobile app as you always have.

Cat Card Rewards is a program included with the new Cat Financial Cat Card that will provide Rewards on all qualifying Cat Card purchases for eligible Accountholders. Rewards are earned and may, in most cases, be used for the purchase of Cat parts, service, work tools or rentals at any Cat dealer or Cat Rental Store location in North America. Eligible Accountholders can begin accruing Cat Card Rewards on May 3rd, and may begin redeeming their rewards as soon as July. A complete set of rules is in Appendix A of the Customer Agreement. Yes. Cat Card Rewards are earned by eligible Accountholders through use of the Cat Financial Cat Card. Please see the associated program websites and your agreements covering these programs to see the differences.

No. The new Cat Financial Cat Card is for the commercial needs of business owners only. Cat Financial does not offer consumer lending. The new Cat Financial Cat Card cannot be used to make any purchases of goods or services for personal, family or household use, and it is not a consumer revolving line of credit.

The Citibank, N.A. Card program with Cat Financial will be ending. The decision was not based on any information regarding your Cat Card Account(s) or credit standing. Additionally, the account closure requires no action by you.

Your Cat Card issued by Citibank, N.A. will be closed on April 30, 2021, unless you receive communication with alternative information.

Yes. Citibank, N.A. will continue to service your account while the account has a balance. Please refer to your Cat Card statements issued by Citibank, N.A. for the mailing address. You can continue to service and manage your account via the Citi Cat Card Account Online website.

No. AutoPay information will not be transferred to Cat Financial. Your current auto payments will continue until your remaining balance on your Cat Card issued by Citibank, N.A. is paid in full.

Citibank, N.A. will continue to service your account while the account has a balance. You can call the customer service phone number below or refer to Cat Card issued by Citibank, N.A. statements for contact information. Also note that you can continue to service and manage your account via Account Online.

No. If you have already registered for MyCatFinancial to manage your Cat Financial contracts, you will not need to register again to manage your Cat Card. Once your new account is active, all you will need to do is log in to your existing account and link your Cat Card. Once you have logged in on mycatfinancial.com, click Cat Card in the menu bar at the top of your screen. That page will have a button to link your Cat Card. You will need your account name and the 16-digit card number to link your card. Once your account is linked, you will be able to manage both your contracts and Cat Card in MyCatFinancial. Please note that this functionality will not be available until your new Cat Card account is active.

No. The MyCatFinancial account you previously managed your Cat Card with has been deactivated and you will need to register your new account. You will be able to register by going to mycatfinancial.com and clicking Sign Up on the main page. You will need your Cat Card account name and the 16-digit card number to register. If you currently manage contracts in MyCatFinancial, your account is still active and you do not need to register again. Simply link your Cat Card by clicking Cat Card in the menu bar at the top of your screen. Please note that this functionality will not be available until your new account is active.
