Cat® Dealer Avesco Supports Mobiliar’s Digital Transformation with New
2 MVA Standby Power System

DEERFIELD, IL – Caterpillar Inc. today announced that Cat® dealer Avesco has been chosen to deliver a new 2 MVA standby power system at the headquarters of Mobiliar, Switzerland’s oldest private insurance company.
Avesco has designed, installed and commissioned a solution that includes three Cat C18 diesel generator sets each rated at 660 kVA. It replaces a Cat standby power system that has been in service since the new headquarters building was constructed in Bern, Switzerland, nearly 35 years ago. Avesco will also provide ongoing maintenance and service to help deliver optimum performance and value over the lifetime of the installation.
The new power solution supports the acceleration of Mobiliar’s digital transformation, for which the company is investing over 250 million Swiss francs (U.S. $275 million) to develop new products, improved processes and digital customer touch points.
