Caterpillar and Helm Operations sign MOU to Fulfill Integration of Digital Capabilities Across Cat® Connected Assets

Houston, Texas – Caterpillar and Helm Operations, a leading maritime operations software company, have signed an MOU to collaborate with Caterpillar on integrating data sharing software across Cat® connected assets to help operators optimize fleet management. The MOU further demonstrates efforts from Caterpillar to support maritime operators with digital solutions that automate their businesses, increase uptime, and drive operational efficiency.
Being able to consistently monitor data and proactively manage equipment is vital to customers. By combining the software expertise of Helm Operations with high-performing Cat Marine power solutions, Caterpillar will empower operators with insights into smarter maintenance management and real-time data that will transform how they organize and respond to information about their equipment.
When available, the new software will be one of the latest connected technology solutions available under a Customer Value Agreement (CVA). The software integration will allow customers to accurately review data allowing them to realize long-term value for their fleets.
