CATERPILLAR MARINE ATTENDS THE 2019 INTERNATIONAL WORKBOAT SHOW

New Orleans, Louisiana – The International WorkBoat Show is an annual marine tradition that attracts over 15,000 attendees. Caterpillar Marine is proud to be an exhibitor at the 2019 show which takes place December 4 – 6 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Caterpillar offers a full spectrum of U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final engine solutions with power ranges from 600 kW and up, providing superior technology to facilitate marine emission reductions. With Cat® Tier 4 Final engines, customers can expect fewer emissions and lower fuel costs without sacrificing on the engine performance. Product experts will be available at the Caterpillar booth #2801 to discuss solutions for inland waterway and tug and salvage applications. The C4.4 ACERTTM generator setMaK and Cat® Reman offerings, and Cat propulsion systems will also be on display Additionally, local Cat dealer Louisiana Cat, will display the C32 Parallel Propulsion System and a C18 Tier 3 engine.

The C4.4 ACERT marine generator set provides the power you need, when you need it. This completely redesigned model is available in 60 Hz ratings of 60, 75, 99, 118 ekW and 50 Hz ratings of 65, 90, and 99 ekW. Benefits of the C4.4 ACERT include a self-priming common rail fuel system, reduced smoke levels, noise reduction, reliable gear-driven water pumps, and additional ancillary componentry to meet customer requirements. Both U.S. EPA Tier 3 and EU CCNR Stage II emissions regulations are met with the C4.4 ACERT.

In addition to the exhibit, visitors can tour Bisso’s new Tier 4 and Subchapter M certified tractor tug, Andrew S, and Harbor Docking & Towing’s new Tier 4 hybrid tugboat, Ralph. Both vessels are powered by Cat engines and feature the latest technological solutions. Ralph is equipped with Cat’s new hybrid propulsion system, including two 3512E main engines, two C18 generator sets, a C7.1 generator set, and MTA 628 azimuth thrusters. Bisso’s new tractor tug features 3516E Tier 4 Final engines and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) aftertreatment system, which sustainably reduces NOx emissions and lowers owning and operating costs. Conference attendees can tour Andrew S. on Dec. 5 between 9 AM and 1 PM and likewise tour Ralph between 9 AM and 5 PM December 4th and 5th, with final tours available on December 6th from 9 AM to 3 PM. Additionally, Caterpillar Marine Territory Sales Manager, Charlson Smith, will be presenting on U.S.EPA Tier 4 emissions solutions on December 4.
