Caterpillar Oil & Gas is pleased to be part of the 2018 China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology & Equipment Exhibition (CIPPE) to be held March 27 – 29 in Beijing, China. The Caterpillar exhibit will feature the new Cat® 3512E 3,000 hp engine together with a CX48 transmission showcasing a full Caterpillar well stimulation power module. This module meets China’s non-road (NR) Stage III emission requirements utilizing a single stage turbo system and the proven MUEI-A fuel system utilized on the 3512C. The CX48 further expanded the Cat well service transmission line with a product that combines the proven reliability of the TH55 while reducing weight and improving packaging for body load equipment.
With China’s new road vehicle GB1589/2016 regulation, all new well stimulation trucks must meet the “per axle load” limitation and the maximum height limitation. Caterpillar’s launch of this lightweight, compact module is targeted to meet these regulations with the highest power density engine transmission package available.
Caterpillar’s exhibit will also showcase the 3512B Land Electric Drive drilling designed with a rugged, oversized cooling system for high ambient capability, this engine provides long overhaul lifecycles proven in oilfield applications. All 3512B and 3512C land electric drilling modules have the option to add the latest Cat Smart Engine Management System (Cat Smart EMS). “This system helps reduce fuel and yearly maintenance cost by automatically starting and stopping engines to optimize the engine load and effectively managing the number of engines required to be online”, says Diana Hopkins, Marketing Manager for Drilling Applications.
Both the 3512E and 3512B are built on the Cat 3500 engine platform, which has been the industry gold standard for heavy-duty diesel and gas engines worldwide for over 35 years. With more than 190,000 engines in the field and more than 3 billion operating hours in mining, rail, electric power, oil & gas, and marine applications, the 3500 exemplifies Caterpillar’s long-standing commitment to technical innovation and the success of our customers.
Caterpillar’s 3500 product line comes standard with Cat Connect, a set of services focused on equipment management, productivity, safety, and sustainability. Offerings include Product Link™ Web and Advanced Condition Monitoring. These services make it easy for customers to analyze the data to determine the condition of their equipment, ultimately helping them to reduce owning and operating costs and increase profits.
The 3512E and 3512B packages are available to order through the worldwide network of Cat® dealers ready to support your operation with technical support, service, parts, and warranty. To learn more and meet the experts, stop by the Caterpillar exhibit #W1503 during CIPPE exhibit hours.
