CATERPILLAR OIL & GAS DEMONSTRATES INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY AT 2018 OTC

Committed to research and development, Caterpillar Oil & Gas is pleased to showcase their newest technologies at this year’s Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). Featured at the Caterpillar exhibit will be the latest technical solutions including the new Pump Electronic Monitoring System (PEMS), Cat® Connect Technologies and Services, as well as the latest product support technology in the industry.

The Pump Electronic Monitoring System, also called PEMS, is a new way of managing pumping operations, as it can minimize downtime, preserve fluid ends and power end components, helping to avoid catastrophic failures.

PEMS monitors and analyzes high-speed data from several onboard sensors. If the data indicates cavitation or leak occurring on the pump, PEMS will output a warning message in real time to the pump operator for immediate review and corrective action. PEMS analyzes data from oil temperature, oil pressure, vibration, discharge pressure and suction pressure sensors, and can detect both cavitation and valve leak. PEMS data can be used to schedule preventative maintenance and rescue high wear components like fluid ends. PEMS is compatible with Cat Triplex and Quintuplex pump platforms.

The latest Cat Connect technology will also be demonstrated at the Caterpillar exhibit. Cat Connect is a suite of services focused on equipment management solutions. Offerings include Product Link™ Web, Cat Remote Fleet Vision, Advanced Condition Monitoring, and Cat Productivity Optimizer for Gas Compression. These services help customers reduce owning and operating costs and increase profits.

The Caterpillar exhibit will be staffed with subject matter experts from our worldwide dealer network comprised of over 2,100 dealer locations in 200 countries. Presentations will be given on flexible repair options and customized maintenance solutions to keep your investments up and running.

For more than 80 years, Caterpillar has been helping customers with their oil and gas power solutions with a wide range of durable and reliable power products to meet the demands of any application.
