Tidewater Achieves Unmatched Support and Local Services with New Global Value Agreement with Caterpillar

Largest Fleet Operator in the OSV industry relies on Caterpillar for Global Support

December 2022

Houston, Texas – Caterpillar and Tidewater, a global leader in the offshore industry, signed a Global Value Agreement (GVA) designed to provide unmatched support and exceptional local service to customers. Through the GVA, Caterpillar will support Tidewater’s diverse fleet of over 125 OSV vessels with digitally connected solutions enabling efficiency across the Cat® powered engines and increasing uptime of their vessels.

Effective November, this agreement will cover Tidewater’s entire global fleet including newly acquired assets from Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO). In addition, each OSV vessel will be supported by a dedicated fleet manager, 24/7 digital monitoring, and overhaul planning.

“This agreement pairs Caterpillar and Tidewater's vision for unmatched support and exceptional local service for their global OSV fleet. The scope includes Caterpillar's fleet management, digital tools and the service of our world class dealer network to deliver the highest level of operational performance,” commented Brad Johnson, vice president of Caterpillar Marine.
