Meet The Caterpillar Marine Power UK Ltd Facility (CMPUK)
CMPUK located in Wimborne, UK, manufactures Caterpillar Marine diesel engines as part of the Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division. The business designs, manufactures, and sells propulsion engines (from 280 bhp to 500 bhp), auxiliary engines, and electrical generators (from 10 kWe to 200 kWe) exclusively for marine applications under the Cat® brand. The products manufactured are used in high-performance (yachting, government defense, and passenger and ferry vessels) and workboat (offshore, tug and salvage, inland waterways, fishing, and dredging) applications.
The facility produces many products, including the Cat C4.4 electronic genset, the C7.1 electronic genset, and the C7.1 propulsion engine, all of which have been helping ferry operators meet their needs.
