IN-CAB MONITORING AND DISPLAY SYSTEM

Cat drills feature advanced 10-inch touchscreen monitors that help operators easily and accurately manage all drill functions — including standard automated functions. The touchscreen and all controls are mounted to the rotating seat for more comfort and usability, and all displays are intuitively designed for a simpler operator experience.

In addition to enabling better control of the machine, these screens give operators real-time feedback on a wide variety of machine health and performance data, including:

  • Hole depth and angle
  • Hydraulic, compressor and engine filters
  • Rotary head RPM
  • Engine shutdown timer

AUTO DRILL

Eliminate over- and under-drilling by automating your complete drill cycle. Auto drill automatically adjusts drilling commands based on material hardness, voids and other geological variances for high-quality holes that maximize bit life. 

AUTO LEVEL

Get into position quickly and accurately by leveraging Auto Level to automatically extend or retract your drill jacks based on current floor levels. Achieve consistent performance with configurable levels and accuracy up to 0.1°.

AUTO MAST

Reach the ideal mast angle for your drill pattern with Auto Mast, which smoothly and accurately raises and lowers the mast based on your programmed drill pattern – even if your holes require different angles.

AUTO RETRACT JACKS

When your hole or pattern is complete, Auto Retract Jacks will automatically retract your jacks to accurately and safely tram to the next hole or ending position.

GET MORE FROM YOUR MACHINE

A matched powertrain gives Cat drills unmatched power and efficiency. Electronic Compressor Controls (ECC) improve performance while reducing fuel burn. The compressors air output volume and working pressure are adjusted to match the machine’s needs, gathering input from the cutting tool to suit the ground conditions and tooling being used. The result is less wasted effort, lower engine load factor and reduced fuel consumption.

The result is optimal performance of cutting tools, no matter what type of bit or hammer is being used. That means more feet drilled for every tool, reducing your consumable costs and helping you get more out of your machine.

This also makes for longer service life for all drill accessories, including subs, pipes and deck bushings. This all adds up to significant time and costs savings for your maintenance staff, as well as improved productivity for your drill.

FOCUSED ON SAFETY

A number of features increase safety for everyone working on and around your Cat drills, including:

  • Hydraulic operated bit basket for bit changing without having to work under a suspended load
  • Three access and egress points on deck areas and main access
  • Seven engine shutdown buttons
  • Hydraulic arm catchers minimizing the need to climb the mast
  • Automatic, audible tram alarms

EXCEPTIONAL VISIBILITY

Our world-class drill cab includes full-length windows that improve line of sight to the drill deck and ground. In addition, standard cameras mounted on the drill deck and other key areas improve situational awareness.

More than 40 conditional safety and machine protection interlocks help ensure safe machine operation, including machine stability control, operator presence, mast lock, jack ground pressure, pipe in hole and more.
