Cat® Gensets Increased Efficiency of Cogeneration System
The cogeneration system was put into service in 2004 and since that time has been used to generate the power need to cover the basic load. The remaining energy demand continues to be met by the four conventional heating boilers. The Cat G3520C natural gas generator set meets the heating needs of about 2,100 households, and generates 16.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
